Syncs this app to a private GitHub Gist so it survives across devices, browsers, and new file versions.
On the deployed app, this works automatically — the GitHub token is held on the server
(a Cloudflare Pages Function), never in this browser. Nothing below needs to be filled in
unless you're testing a local copy of the file before deploying it.
Local file:// testing only
These two values are only read when this file is opened directly from disk (file://), to let you
test sync before uploading a new version to Cloudflare. They're ignored on the deployed app.
Notifications
On-open reminders work automatically once permission is granted below — no extra setup.
For alerts even when the app is closed, the sync Function above needs a small extension
(/api/subscribe route + a daily Cron Trigger) — ask for the setup guide if you want that tier.
